Little D's Wanderings

One of our first trips out of Kitale was to an area called Pokot, a couple hours outside of Kitale.

I had only been there once, but quite a few of our team members have gone to Pokot over the years and helped start or grow some amazing ministries in the area, which is considered by most to be a pretty barren landscape.

We were going out there with Sister Freda to do a mobile medical clinic as well as another eye clinic with Dr. Rob. We drove to an area of Pokot called Ortum. I had never been there, but you could immediately tell it was a lot drier than Kitale, still a beautiful drive.

We set the clinics up near the high school, just around the corner from what we would consider “main street” in our towns in America.
